The monthly Board Meeting was called to order at 6:50 PM by President Dennis Backer. 

Members present: John Coleman, Bill Ennis, Tina Wilson, Dennis Backer, Beverly Turner, Susan Wilcox, Larry Goldsmith, Grace McKay, Emmett Kesel, Travis, Bill Brown and John Primm

Minutes - John Primm:  The minutes of the March meeting were corrected and approved.

Treasurer's Report - Beverley Turner:  $200 is being spent on our ad in DV magazine each month for a year. $100 was collected from guests at the last meeting.  Food was $150 for the last 3 or 4 meetings.

Programming - John Coleman:  Last's month's meeting with Karen Carlsen had 25 present.

Upcoming meetings:  May 18 - Making a killer website with Grace McKay.  May 5 -Mega Mixer.  Bill Ennis will be making a DVD for the Mega Mixer event from submitted spots from our members.

Registration - Robert Sheridan:  not present.

Membership - Emmett Kesel:  Reported that MCA-I National is not being very good with reports of membership.  Emmett will make sure a Pay Pal is on our web site to make it easier to pay dues.

PR - Susan Wilcox, Bill Ennis: The new brochure will be ready for the May 5 Mega Mixer.

Communications - Tina Wilson: Called all the guests from the last meeting.  Several said they would come back.

Speaker's Bureau/Campus Liaison - position open.  Dennis, John C. and Tina went to Fullerton College Career Day.  John Coleman to provide list of schools that would welcome speakers.  Dennis and Travis are to speak at John Coleman's Radio Production class.

Website - Grace McKay, Travis:  It's working and looking cool!

Old Business:  Much talk centered on our roles at the Newport Beach Film Festival.  A swap meet is being planned for September 18.  A LookNext Media Expo Trade Show idea was discussed, but no specific plans were made.

New Business: It was decided to stay with Benjie's for our monthly breakfast.  Beverly will order a 2 x 5 foot banner.  It was seen at the last general meeting.  Elections will be held on the Drive-In Movie night in June.
