MANY MCAI MEMBERS VOLUNTEERED

The 2006 Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) Awards Show was an even bigger hit than the year before—thanks in part to the many members of MCA-I who volunteered to make it a reality.  For the second year in a row we organized producers, talent and camera crews that covered a week’s worth of festival activities then rolled a remote truck up to the awards night and produced the event for TV!  MCAI was one of the Award Night’s production sponsors. Now the show has been posted and is on the air!

This past May, MCA-I LA/OC Chapter member, Janeane Bernstein, www.rockwrenstudios.com  produced  the music festival, "Mamapalooza Rocks the OC."  Mamapalooza  is an annual international music festival celebrating women  performers; musicians, writers and comedians who are also Moms! The fundraising concert was held at Original Mike’s in Santa Ana, CA.  Janeane recruited Mamapalooza’s volunteer staff of over 40 and was the prime mover behind the OC event.  What inspired this performer-producer to undertake the project?
